One if my customers tells me that his 372xp might need a new coil. Because it's running funny. So I order one. He fails to tell me it's a 372xp Xtorq. Well.......ok. question is for me, with my assumption of yes, would this XP work on a XT? And that's if I have to use it.

Well they are interchangeable to a point, but the XT's run far better with their own coil. Has to do with the advance and start curves. Also the length of the wires are different; shorter on the original coil. Gotta be careful it doesn't ride on cylinder fin and short out.

That's exactly what was happening. Just some liquid electrical tape and put in its proper place latter and it's running as intended. I'm just glad I didn't have to reorder a coil.
