This, seen it more times than I can count, right where the line comes through the tank.

Almost every one I get in the shop has a hole in the fuel line.

I guess it must be because of the bend there and the vibration/constant flexing.

It's very easy to ruin one pulling it through the tank also.

Quick update, haven't been able to mess with it a lot, however it has held pressure for several days in 49 degreee temp swings. I ordered a few parts at the dealer, fuel line, kill switch wire, and few other parts for some other projects

I just tore a 372 down and I would swear mine had a washer under bushing

o-ring can be slid on before seal down against bearing and install seal and push sleeve down through seal to sit on top of o-ring?

Yes sir. The washer is a thrust washer of sorts. Washer sits on shoulder of sleeve, worm gear sits on washer.
