I bought 20 of these too. Smokin deal and metal cages are a win win. I just pulled apart 3 372xpts that had cracked plastic cages on the "good" bearing. Here's a great deal on SKF bearings. If you go to check out and choose USPS the shipping price is cut in half.. I already bought 20 of them.[emoji1]
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/262897438579
I just got myself some of those too. Thanks for the help on that one guys. Good deal.I bought 20 of these too. Smokin deal and metal cages are a win win. I just pulled apart 3 372xpts that had cracked plastic cages on the "good" bearing.
I have honestly never looked up the ring gap spec. Did you find anything on the web?Just checked a 365xt cylinder with old piston and it’s .009. So maybe.005 is ok on a new caber ring in a 371xp
That’s good to know bud. Didn’t find anything talking about a 371 in particular. But by some of the reading I believe it’s ok also. Was just shocked it read so tightThey're pretty tight new. That doesn't sound out of line.
I would’ve questioned it too. .007 to .009 is what I would’ve expected to see. That’s good to know bud. Didn’t find anything talking about a 371 in particular. But by some of the reading I believe it’s ok also. Was just shocked it read so tight
That's how you do it. But I'd think in a couple tanks you'll be closer to 7 or 8 thou anyway, which is goodI’m also wondering if one could open the gap up with a file or sandpaper if it was to tight???
I figured I could but I also thought the same thing about it opening up some after it was run in on a couple tanksThat's how you do it. But I'd think in a couple tanks you'll be closer to 7 or 8 thou anyway, which is good
Sorry to hear that sir, hope all is going well nowAlso wanted to tell you guys my son may not be in many of the pictures next couple days. He has asthma and last night about 2am he woke us up having what they call an “allergic asthma attack” so my wife had to rush him the nearest ER so they could draw blood and try to catch what the allergy might be that’s causing the reaction to happen.
Thanks my friend. He’s learned how to deal with it and it’s gotten better in the last few years but when it happens it kicks his butt for a few days.Sorry to hear that sir, hope all is going well now
