If you haven't already, make sure to check your crank for straightness. Sometimes when a saw gets busted like that the crank also gets bent.

Thanks. I’m just wondering about the side that goes in case and the side that goes on outside the case. Are they supposed to be even or offset. I didn’t think about it when I copied the measurements off internet and made pattern

Heading down to the barn in a few, I’ll get the pics to ya. Personally, I don’t think the offset will affect the function as long as your press bolt is on the correct axis with where it grips inside the case

Thanks. I make due with tools I have and I’ve gotten pretty good with them lol. I have access to a lot of tools from friends and stuff but most of the time I want wait to use them

What brand of blades are you using?

I’ve got two different teeth counts 17-24 & 36 per inch. They work very well up to 5/32 in steel. Just have to go slow.

Well I got it welded together this afternoon. Looks pretty good all together. May end up painting it idk. Thanks @XP_Slinger for the measurements. Soon we’ll see how well it works

Well that' about 99% of my problem is going slooooooow. Lol

My dad used to use them same blades cutting and doing alluminum.he had a jigsaw with an adjustable head.sometimes a little cutting oil or pb or silicone helps too.i sure miss him

Lol I hear ya. I did have access to a plasma cutter but some guy apparently liked it more than my friend did along with more of his tools and stole them. Some has been recovered some not. They did catch him though. Also know a guy with a water jet but he stays so busy it’s really hard to get him to cut for me

It’s not super slow but if you force it you’ll either break the blade or dull it really fast
