The 357 doesn’t have the grunt of the 6100…how much closer would the 359 be?
My 359 is really strong. Haven't ran a 6100.The 357 doesn’t have the grunt of the 6100…how much closer would the 359 be?
Damn. How would you compare that (ported 6100) to one of your 2159's?
It will take a 2159s lunch money.
It's under the AF/cylinder cover silly!Trying to find the 6100 bore and stroke…
Stop body shaming dik, she's just a little porky. lolThe 6100 has the edge power-wise in any form, but in use feels like you're running an under powered 372. I have not ran a ported 6100, but from what I've seen it probably still has an edge. It all depends on what your particular needs are. Personally, I'd just grab a 372.View attachment 305271
Yeah. 2159 needed pnc back when I started here and I didn’t realize the 357 was 5cc smaller.357 head on a 359 chassis?
Who built each? If you'll tellThe ported 361/562 smoked the ported 6100 I ran and they were lighter/less bulky. It probably depends more on how good of a job the porter did modding the saw. That said I’m not a fan of 60cc saws for what I do with a saw. I prefer a 50 and 70cc combo. 60cc are good one plan firewood saws though.
Some questions are better left unanswered . . .This thread will grow long and remain unanswered. Crank up the dyno!
Mofo 361 with 044 carb (I believe it had about 7ish hp when dynoed), mofo 562xp and the 6100 was ported by jms (it was went through/checked over by another builder). I owned the 562, the 361/6100 were other peoples saws. All good runners. Just comes down to your preference and how well the porter can do the saw.Who built each? If you'll tell
