I am planning to attend Dan's CT GTG in April and hoping to meet fellow OPE members. I don't mind making the trek to Mass at all. I enjoy driving and maybe we can fix your 346 now, to see if we can cure your problem before April. Your call....

That's awesome Jack. I'll keep this in mind especially if I need a carb!
I'll let you know. I'll be looking at the saw this evening if I have time or the weekend.

Thanks again!

Sorry to jump in here but what is the high idle on a 346???? I have had two of these. Still have them. One is needin a crank... I know nothing of this high idle

Mr Jakethesnake, I believe Mr Malk315 may have a bad carb issue here and hopefully will be resolved soon.

^^^^this. Had same problem with mine, it ended up being the fuel line.

Vulture...
Yep. Fuel lines have been really the only problems I've ever had on 346s' Needs replacing every two-three year if E-gas is used, 5-6 years with E-free. Have never had an air leak, but have replaced carbs when they act up.

Yes, I am a 346 vulture. :)

Many a vulture the 346 make. They are special for sure. I have a couple myself and another one in the making.

Just curious what OE and NE is referring to when talking about these 346's?
This one is an OE complete with orange clutch cover 45cc stock.

The other one we have is an OE saw with NE 50 cc OEM top end and muffler mod by nmurph Neal Murphy. I like how it keeps the orange clutch cover. Not a big fan of the gray covers!

Yep. Bought the first one new in 2001, first Husky. I actually had never heard of Husqvarna and had no idea what a 346xp was, but that lil saw sure surprised me!!! :D

Do you still got a plastic intake clamp? Warped? Have you checked the little impulse hose for a hole rubbed in bottom of it. Have you checked the impulse plastic nipple for melting? All things I have seen.
