Gotta be all new stock chains to be fair josh. Or switch same chain to each.
Chains make a huge difference!
Yes they do! We’ll do our best Dan, just hope everyone is prepared for multiple videos, we don’t have fancy editing programs.

Did a little tuning, this thing is spinning fast and its nowhere near broken in yet. Still 4 stroking when I lift in the cut. I’m starting to feel like this Saw needs more carb, but that’s obviously a project for after Sunday’s shenanigans are done.

Got my 254 “special” all ready to go for Sunday. I’ll admit it’s not stock, just did a muffler mod which is why it looks different than it did. Pulls a 37” bar like a boss now.

Pretty sure a 55 is like 51 or 52cc isn’t it? The big bore aftermarket kits are true 55cc or something like that if I remember correctly?
I used to know the details cause I was looking into an eventual replacement cylinder for my 51 but I don’t remember being a big difference in cc between the two.
CP 55 is 45mm bore, 32mm stroke. 50.894 cc

OP55 is 46mm bore, 32mm stroke. 53.181cc

254xp is 45mm bore, 34mm stroke. 54.075cc

346xp is 44.3mm x 32.5mm stroke. 50.093cc

I guess I’m gunna stop at GKS and grab a .325 sprocket for my 55. Swap the bar from the 550 and throw the new chain I got with my 550 on it so everyone will be running the .325.

Ok sounds good. I'll probably get a new chain for the 46 because it has quite a bit of run time on it. Probably half worn.

Good plan. I’ll get a new chain too, should be off the same roll when we get them all together. Just hope the factory grind is good, found out today my rakers are too tall for sugar maple, chain skated pretty bad unless I was prying on it. Must be Oregon sets their chains up for pine:rolleyes:
