44mm 350 and 351 had the same dished piston and cylinder. 353 had a flat piston.

Somewhere along the line, the 350 was a 45mm open port. I don’t know if it was the later or the earlier ones

I thought the 44mm was open port and the 45mm was closed port with the removable covers.

That could be. I have a handful of takeoffs out in the garage that I could measure. Mostly the closed port with covers. Only 1 or 2 are full open

I can text xpman if you want. Only way I have to get ahold of Bob is at his shop and I've only done that once. It was way before he made himself uber popular.

Correct the 44mm cylinder is an open port with a flat top piston, on the early 350 and 351. The 350 and 353 had the 45mm closed port cylinder with removable transfer covers, the 350 had a dished piston and the 353 had a plat top.

All good Tim. Doug and i worked a deal out. I do believe johns last post nailed it on the break down of cylinders and pistons. I just never knew an OE350 was the same as a 351. That threw me for a loop but makes sense. One consumer grade(350) one pro grade(351) To throw another wrench in it i do believe the 351 is the open port version of a 346. I only say this cuz ive seen a manual cover that stated 351/346.:D

DAMN!!! That is a good price! Ive got a PM in to Doug already. If it pans out im gonna snag that piston! Much appreciated! Im trying to find the video of my 44mm that i sold. That saw ripped, worth watching again:D

Why not just ask that guy to send you some free $20 bills? That's how much under dealer cost he's got those pistons priced. :)

Another little tidbit on this family of saws is that the 345 and the original 42mm 346 also use the same exact piston.
