Has anyone ran a veracut? How is it holding up? Anyone know if Tsumura is worth the extra money or does the versacut hold up good enough. Want to keep the cost under 60

I ran a .325 20” on my ported 346 for a while. I bought the bar used and in all honesty it was not bad. Does it compare to a sugi or a Tsumura? No.

However it was decent enough that I picked up another 18” version for my 026. They are super light.

@huskyboy just posted few pictures of one that was well used. Not speaking for him but in my opinion he got a lot of use for his money.

You should definitely be able to find a bar for less than $60. The Tsumuras and Sugis aren't all that much lighter, the steel is real good and they last a long time. Depending on your opinion they look pretty good too.

I can get a 18 speedcut with the txl chain combo at ace hardware for 39. Which I know is super cheap but I’m just unsure of the narrow kerf. I have .325 nk on my stock 346 and seem to prefer standard .325 better

Should be able to run regular .325 on a NK bar. MIGHT need to make a thin shim between the bar and the clutch cover or saw if there isn't clearance for the regular chain though.

I bought an Archer Mini 18” .325 with chain for my 346 for $30. Shortly thereafter they went up to $40. It’s on it’s 3rd chain and seems worthy. Paint is still 9.5/10. Also have a Tsumura LW 20” 3/8 that was about $70 from Julian. I have no real preference either way. I’d guess the Tsumura is still worth the $70, but I’d also buy the same Archer combo again, too

Turned a customer on to the Archer bar/chain combo. I think it was $70ish for a 32". Not a bad deal at all.
