Getting a micro drill set.
If she is too lean will take it to 1.2
If still to lean, will keep taking a tad from the jet till I get what I want.

I just want it to feed enough fuel to run the saw at 12300 - 12400 RPM :-)

Just make sure you size to the same fuel ratio as he will be using in it. Otherwise could run lean if he runs 25:1 and you size to 40:1

The carb on my 084 has a 1.04 fixed jet and I need 3/4 turn on the H screw to get the revs down to under 13000 RPM.

This is going to be fun getting it perfect

haha
Now that going to be REALLY interesting.
This bloke is a "pour it in till it looks the right colour" oil mixer.

I will set the jet to 25:1 so less oil will only make it richer which is better than setting the jet to 50:1 and leaning it out running 25:1

Cylinder is on, pull start overhauled, carb rebuilt, timing advanced .020, coil gap set and all ready to put back together.
I just need to order a new muffler gasket on Monday so it will have to wait till that shows up.

Do you guys recon I should just take the carb H jet out to 1.2mm or try it first.
I am betting it will be lean. This puppy is going to breath!

Try it first and sneak up on it. Buy a set of springs for metering springs or shims. So you can change that after you drill. So drill run switch spring popoff then drill and switch again. I think it won't take much to find a good setup.

Teach him to do it the right way.
Show him what doing it wrong causes.

And then show him what it cost to repair once fried.

We have to put $ signs in front of some people to get the message across.

Step away from my bell please.

No.

I like it when the wind blows too.

Brewz,

I don't own a 3120, but if I did, it would have the modified Carb with the proper # of adjustments.

Watch the above Knucklehead's video on modifying the 3120 carb, & do it to it: I'm already certain you can complete this task.

Me Personally, I would hopefully pay or barter, the afromentioned Knucklehead to do it, but you don't have the luxury of shipping as economically as we do here in the states.

Good Day.

Some of the hot saws are still running without an H screw. If they're only used at one elevation you get it set for cooler temperatures and let it go.

I didn't think 1,000ft made that much difference, but an 044 told us it do.

Thank You Andreas for the 1124. [emoji1303][emoji1303]
