Is the manifold change a mandatory when swapping carbs or just another choke point?

I have an MS880 on my bench with some go fast bits coming for it including a different fuel metering device.

The intake will need to be changed too Jimmy. Then the jug will need to be ground out to match the intake.

Ok. Glad I checked...get one on the way Monday. This quick carb swap just got more involved.

Guess the grinding will be self explanatory with intake there?

Should need the inner ring to match the boot. Could have him check P/N to see if there are different ones for the 880/088

Yesterday was my test, tune, and package day Todd. And......I pulled a muscle in my back while installing handlebar hose. I'm pretty miserable today so far.....but I'm finishing up some shipping labels and will then get back in the shop. Not sure if I will get much done in all honesty.
