This is a little more modern than scratcher chain :p.

The dealer i scavenged it from this morning opened his Stihl shop in 1978 and remembers they ordered a roll of 3/8" .050 Kolve chain out of Portland a couple yeara later. He pronounced it "colby" like the cheeae but it is spelled Kolve on the roll label.
Very low rakers on all teeth.
Left cutter dbl scratcher right cutter sbl scratcher etc.
Was intended to be the firewood cutter's new best friend. Dealer never finished selling that one roll and never heard of other products from them.
Said nobody ever asked for a second one and customers said they looked wierd.

I have some of that kolve chain also. Haven't tried to use any but supposedly was designed to clear dirty wood because the side by side fingers were supposed to clean wood before tooth cut it. That was the theory anyway must not have worked they quit making it.

Thank you, been collecting saws for awhile and starting to mess with some modifications beyond muffler modding. Worked on a 193t for my friend that does tree removal"muffler mod advanced timing and took limiters off carb so I could richen it up. Tuning a strato saw is a bit different. Haven't tried porting yet but maybe soon.

Well you're in the right place to learn about hopped up saws. There are some really good saw builders here.
