I gave 370 fellas. I’m not too shy on that. That oughta narrow it down if this was it or not. That was my highest bid didn’t know I’d won till next morning It was the last day of bidding for it. Still had hours left. Kinda sh it when I saw that bid had held really They usually bring a good bit more on there.

That’s it. I won’t lie, i’d like to have won it, but I’m glad you got it. I think you got a good deal and I’m really glad it went to a guy on here and not some clown somewhere. I mean if I gotta lose out in a great saw I want it to be to one of you guys. Enjoy your saw sir!

I’m still salty with mastermind. Sucka sold a pretty one on here for 450. I’ll have that much tied up in this one to get it up to snuff.

You done good. That Nice hightop is worth $50 to $75 all by itself. AND it has the tubular brake flag! Vintage parts gold mine brother.
That damn chain brake. It wants so bad to work. Couldn’t find much info on repairs for it either. I’m pretty sure someone got frustrated with it and cut the band. I’m a little bit chicken *s-word to run any saw without one I’ve had a close call always caught it but this girl is fat n heavy if she bucks I’d prefer the break to be working. It’s one thing to cut cookies. But that ain’t my style

Completely understand, I won’t work a saw without the brake operating properly. Especially a saw with enough power to really throw the saw back at you. Hell, I feel the same about small saws. They ain’t called accidents because we plan on them happening.

Nice score Jake!

I'll look and see what I have too. Josh and I kinda have a box of random small parts...not sure who it really belongs too at this point. LOL!

Parts for those old aluminum flagged brakes are hard to find. If you turn the the adjustment knob in it should make it harder to trip. I'm diggin that big starter handle. I may have to get a couple. I'm glad you tipped it over in the pic cuz the part number is showing now.

I just found this thread tonight. You did good finding a high top saw, and now you got the wrap. Looking forward to seeing it done.
It’s running well Just need a chain brake and top cover needs to be fixed. I ordered an aftermarket brake. Wrong one sent. Now they are out of stock. Trying to keep overall cost down as best as I can

I found a old metal handle brake and clutch cover for my 266 at cheap chainsaw parts on eBay for 40 bucks. It might be worth a look for you.
