I don't know Huskys at all. I've found a 272XP that looks very clean and has all of the oem important parts. Supposedly runs well.

Seems through searching, most people like the 372 better. Is there much interest in these? Do they hold value? What is a range of prices - realistic prices?

If I do buy it and decide that I can live without I'd rather be able to atleast break even.

Don't see many come up for sale here. I converted my jred 630 to a 272xp. IME, they don't have as much torque as an 044 or 372. But I think it's lighter than an 044. I've seen them from $250-$400 in running condition

These are great saws...easy to work on..pretty good power to weight..good chain speed. Gave one to a very good friend...it is his definite go-to firewood saw now.

I'm not going to pursue it. I'm going to focus on the Stihls I just picked up.

But yes it does look clean for an older saw and I thought the price seemed reasonable. If I didn't have the 7910 I might be more tempted.
