Best fix: go to the local Husqvarna dealer and order the inserts for the 394. They are metal and fit into the back side of the tank. They use standard metric threads and should not strip again.

I pretty much have a hardware store at my disposal...the trick is the screw diameter is in between std sizes, 3/16” (#10) and 1/4”, same in mm. I will continue the search. Of course, I’m also being picky and trying to stay with a similar head design, but may have to give up on that.

Try using the blue screws they make for putting into concrete. They do work in a pinch.
