I'll get my CNC guy to cut some out of aluminum. If ya'll know anyone who might want some, tag 'em. Need to make about 10 to make it worth it, preferably more.

Thanks!
Put me down for three. If you need funds? Just let me know.

*I borrowed some longer screws for the spacer to tank from a project saw, need to find the proper coarse thread screws long enough.

First batch, they're not quite done yet. I asked my CNC guy to get back on 'em. We can make as many as there is demand for. Once they're done and we know how much time we have in them, I can put a price on them.

I have 3 first articles done. Got short screws. Need to pick longer ones. Then I'll ship you guys each one for test fit/change suggestions. I already have some ideas for minor improvements but I think these will work.

Dilemma. To the right is the OEM screw (too short). They are about 7/32” or 5.5mm goofy in between diameter. On the left is a #10-24tpi screw. Top is 1/4”-20tpi. On a tank that hasn’t been messed with or stripped (such as the one pictured), the 10-24 screws in tight. However, it is a bit small and on my guinea pig 266 which has been messed with, rigged up, etc., the holes are starting to strip out. Could tap for 1/4”, but that’s pretty big. Thoughts? Thread inserts maybe? Are the original wood screw style, but longer available somewhere?

Maybe there are screws available for another saw or application I’m not aware of. They need to be about 1.5” long.

Pro-Safety used long wood screws with their handles and I've found similar screws at a couple of hardware stores, so it should be
easy enough to find something that would work. Just take the old stock screw with you and find a longer one that has similar threads
and diameter.

I pretty much have a hardware store at my disposal...the trick is the screw diameter is in between std sizes, 3/16” (#10) and 1/4”, same in mm. I will continue the search. Of course, I’m also being picky and trying to stay with a similar head design, but may have to give up on that.
