Pretty sure the carb came off my runner 266 and I know I kitted it. 2pc Ignition was supposed to have come off a running saw but I don’t know if it was tested in wood. Fuel line is used but seems ok.
It tunes easy, runs perfect, not like an air leak, doesn’t die…just no power at all. 190psi BGD.

Exhaust screen clear? Take a peak at the piston via the exhaust port and the cylinder side too?
Is tank vent functioning?
Spark should jump a 5mm air gap, with a crisp deep blue spark.
Fuel line and carb should pressure test to 7psi, is fuel filter dirty?
Crankcase should take 7 psi and 7 inches mercury or .5 Bar.

Solid advice and specs.

I had one doing that and like Kevin said it was the intake gasket. I found the leak by spraying a little brake cleaner around the block.

Is that the saw that you had to fix the intake block on because it was melted or something?

This is the "good parts" build...the crusty 266 is the questionable parts build. :D I have had a rash of intake/impulse/crank seal leaks on saws on this chassis lately, and it doesn't act like that...but y'all are right, spray test is the easiest test.

I bent a plug open to a 3mm gap.

Looks like I got some weak ignition parts. Need to get some shrink tubing to repair wires on others and do more testing.

I did spray test and might have very slight leak but I think it’s just getting up into the bottom of the air filter.
