I'm gonna raise the exhaust and transfers in the morning, I'm not familiar with this saw,what does it compare to?

I'm sorry, I do not.

I put clay on piston, saw where the plug hit it, marked piston, and made a divot with a carbide ball.

It isn't needed with .030 out on the 262.

Do you know how long it's been sitting?
I didn't touch the carb other than tune it and I dumped some bad stuff out of the tank

I do not know exactly how long but quite a while. When I got it the guy said that he hadn't used it in some time because when it got hot it would quit on him. I pressure/vac tested it, found the leak, found the scored piston, quoted the repair and he declined it so I would up buying it and sticking it to the side. Thats been at least eight months ago.

i would service the carb though and replace the lines and filter if you have not done it. no telling how old the parts are.

I'm a firm believer that you can't have too many handpieces. I've even managed to overfill this rack I made by almost 2x.
