I tape the business end of the bore. Three places need to be ground. The stops in the bore, the brass plug, and the choke plate. The 87/120/144 have a different choke plate rotation.

Gotta groove the shaft to work the acc pump on the 199. no need on the 198.

Anyone have a few 262 meteors they want to sell?

Thought I had a few, but they’re gone. There aren’t any available at HL supply or on eBay/Amazon.

I have a few used OEM which I may have to go with. I’ll put a want add in the TP also.

Grabbed one meteor and a Duke’s slug. I also have the used good oem in one saw.

Oem gasket sets got here. Now I just need the time to finish these builds.

Looked on Duke’s site and a new oem 144 carb is $199 now. My how things have changed.

Had an hour and got the muffs modded. Now just have to braze/weld/shape th factory deflector to what I want.

I find this method the easiest on the 262.

They were out of 262, so ill have to go with one for another model. At least its for the 2 series.

Was lucky to get metal seal retainer.

When OCD gets the best of you. One has to relieve case for the carb box seperator when dropping the jug.

Seals in.
