Call the shop Ryan (770-266-0103), we try to keep the PB-5810T, PB-770T, EB-790RT, EB-910RT, and PB-9010T in stock at all times. Which one would you be interested in? The EB-910RT and PB-9010T are great during leaf season but personally I feel like the EB-790RT is the best all around unit.

We'll talk about it, thanks big dawg.

I broached the subject of the 1201 again, no official word but probably not
Maybe you could sell DIY parts kits. Or order them without 1 part they need, so they can be sold as display saws (just add piston or whatever). Or better yet, maybe if Echo ported them from the factory, they could be sold for racing purposes only.

Yep, probably short for chucked.

Growing up in Alabama, we all used to say "chunk" or "chunked." He chunked a rock at me. I was probably 25 to 28 before I trained myself to stop saying "warsh" and to say "wash"

But at least we pronounce oil right (oy-ull) unlike those uppity folks in Louisville, KY who say it as (ul).
(I kid...about the uppity part...for some of them, at least)

If a man and his wife get a divorce in Alabama, are they still cousins?

Unfortunately, yes.

My buddy (72) from Chattanooga said the joke back then was something like: (I'm horrible with jokes)

"At least on this side of the line, we own all the cars broke down on our front lawns"

He says Alabama was one of the few states back then that would register vehicles without a VIN, so there were loads of stolen cars driven across the state line.

I was a little wild back in my younger days. Stopped drinking and doing dope 19 years ago. A few years after I got clean I started selling old cars, trucks, and junk I had accumulated. It took all summer one year to load and haul everything off.

I broached the subject of the 1201 again, no official word but probably not.

I believe there is a 1/4" Pitch 9 Tooth sprocket available from Oregon.

The 2511T and P are now both available with 80TXL (.325 narrow kerf).

Yeah the exhaust port thing has me scratching my head as well, space issues in such a tight package maybe?
Why not 1/4”? It’s what I am running and a lot of my climbers prefer it

Since they are jumping into the lawn mower market, how about a quality side discharge gas push mower? Cheap junk is all that is available in this category these days.
Stihl actually makes a very nice gas push mower or hydrostatic drive variable speed walk behind if you want to spend the money on one but seems to me the reason they mostly make cheap crap for push mowers is because that’s what people want. Buy it use for 5-6 years without an oil change and buy a new one.

We have the luxury of ported gas saws doing the hard work for us, and we whine about having to pick up a file and sharpen it

Try to look at it from the dealer prospective, time is money and most dealers are at $100.00+/Hour. If a chain just needs to be touched up probably 3 - 5 minutes by hand but more often than not by the time we see one it has been rocked BAD. Do you really want to pay $50.00 (1/2 hour labor) to sharpen a chain?

You didn't dull it, they can buy a new chain or learn to sharpen. Once you get the hang of hand filing and use good files, it can go fast, but that's too much wear and tear on my hands to sharpen 5 guys weeks worth of dull chains.

I consider a professionally sharpened chain practically new. If it cuts like new and has the angles and everything all realigned, it should cost about that much.

Just rolling my eyes at the saw operators, not the dealer. Most people don't even take the time to blow the dust out of their saws and change the sprocket occasionally. They can pay for their neglect.

Dope or cannabis? It's easy to accumulate things, especially with any kind of space; you make any money off that summer, or selling at losses?

Most of us don't consider Louisville to be a part of our state.

I bet! Lexington too? Southern Illinois folks also distance themselves from the rest of Illinois.

I spent a lot of time hanging out in Paducah. I briefly moved there (West Paducah, to be specific, going out towards Mayfield/Wickliffe direction) from late 2009 to October 2010. That was a fun time. It was about that time I realized I didn't really care for going out to see music or traveling anymore. Also that everyone I dated was an ex of one or more of my friends....got a little weird at times....

Dope of every variety....

I was a functional drug addict though. Back then I had two framing crews going, and another crew doing roofing and siding. I thought I needed to take something to make me feel better no matter how good I felt. I was building an 11,000 square foot log home for the guy who owned the surgery center in Crossville. One day out of the blue he asked if I was taking opiates. Well yeah I said. I take a couple hundred mg of morphine every day. He was amazed that I was able to work after taking so much morphine. I told him that the methamphetamine was helping keep me going. And....that I smoked a lot of weed, and drank a lot of whiskey too. Then I asked if that was a problem. He told me that he had looked at my medical records and could see that every injury I had was long healed. He talked me into trying to get clean. I took a few years before I was able to actually get off of everything. It took some jail time for me to detox. My life is better than ever after finally seeing that I didn't need anything to make me feel "different".

If anyone reads this and wants to talk about addiction, I'm easy to reach. After I got clean, I spent years doing outreach and service work in Narcotics Anonymous. I'm always willing to share with another addict what worked for me.
