Thanks buddy@Hall84 here's what a "Holz Hausen" stack looks like......you can make it skinnier, taller, wider, whatever you want......this would be perfect for your situation and that big oak you acquired.

Not trying to derail the thread, but we were talking at the GTG about these and I wanted to share before I forgot
I'm gonna be building one in a few weeks, I'll start a thread.....Those are so cool!
This guy has two or three words he tosses out there over the fire pit to entice reactions and responses. Keep an eye on him.
Wow! What a view!Thank you Duane for your hospitality, and to you Scott for cooking all that food! Rodney, for being Rodney! Was great to see old friends and make new ones. I didn't run a single saw as I was too busy enjoying good company, good food, cold beer, and the beautiful day, no regerts. I grabbed a couple pics from the top of the hill. You coming to east Jordan in September?I need more of that saw
Was that mine Mike?Yes I ran a real nice Husky 371, and saw a real strong 395 go right through the big wood.
Also ran a lot of nice Stihls including a 400, 500, non M-Tron 462, and several Hybrids!
You be careful who you team me up with!
