Well I think I could use it because I just scored a complete 680 with spark and a working chainbrake. But also a smoked p&c. I got a NOS Olympic 951 missing a clutch and coil if you want a saw for your neighbor.
Don't matter to me. Someone claim it and I'll get it drained and shipped in a couple weeks when the holiday rush dies down
Typed to slow . You guys figure it out. The parts the 951 needs are on eBay now. Just used.

I'll pass this one to @exSW and let him dive on it. Shipping + parts + good bar an chain + time = more than I have to put into it.

Plus thinking about it... I want him to run something that has parts readily available for future repairs. I would have jumped on the 951 but it looks like parts cost is $75 + bar and chain. It's also a little to small for what he cuts. Would like to see him in 65-75cc saw with 24-28" bar. He gets all the big stuff from the tree services to cut up. I'm sure something else will show up, or we can do like we did a couple years back and have everyone donate a few parts to get one all together.

Chain Rehab Offer

I will clean, sharpen, and generally recondition any chains that a recipient can rationally fit into a USPS Small, Flat-Rate Box.

This includes: cleaning/degreasing; sharpening cutters ( 30°/55°/0° unless specified); cleaning gullets; adjusting depth gauges (0.025" unless specified); rounding depth gages; minor de-burring of drive links; re-lubricating. Returned in similar package within USPS flat-rate restrictions.

*No rusted, bent, twisted, missing cutters, etc. Round ground only. Reserve the right to reject any chains. Might take me a while to get them back to you (late January?) so don't send me both of your chains if you have winter cutting to do. Good opportunity to 'even out' or rehab some chains for a fresh start.

(Offer is open to those who celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, Festivus, etc.; zealots, atheists, agnostics, or just regular folks who enjoy chainsaws and participate in this forum).

Ok, guess I'll take the Shindaiwa. Since the 951 is nos I figured it would still make a good candidate for a gift build. Kind of why I've been sitting on it.

I got to dig a little.

I'll do a little digging to see if I can't find some parts a little cheaper. I have plenty of K095 bars and chain to dress it up, and I can find another candidate for that saw.

Good luck. I've been looking a while. Those eBay prices aren't far off new. And new's available.

As for a little more giving on my end... anyone need small tire chains? Both are NOS.

Free shipping on these.

Also I'm offering free muffler gutting on any muffler with a roll crimp. You pay its way here and I'll gut and send back. I only have a mig so that may not be pretty in stainless or galvanized. Below are pics of my brothers husky leaf blower I just did.

I have a 272xpg lower end if you want to use it as a starting point. I haven't looked at it in a while but I think it will need new bearings and possibly a new crank but I can look for sure if you are interested in it.
