It came from your neck of the woods - was on craigslist fairly long time. I probably over paid but I like the obs smaller feeling trucks - I don't miss plugging in the diesel either

With out a doubt! Sometimes i feel like the strait axle is over hyped. Its not like you're going to put a front end loader on it and move some bales around!
It has been done but a Ford couldn't handle it..lol

They are not that bad with good leaf springs. Actually better then the f250ttb front diff.
I had a 1/2 ton short box reg cab ram that was straight axle. It rode a little rough but not bad. 500 lbs in the bed and it would ride like a Cadillac.

My 2500 is a straight up lumber wagon but that's how it's sposed to be.

Skyjacker soft ride springs help lots, but usually they are a lift spring.

Thats some custom brake plumbing right there..

View attachment 163269

I've seen that before. Lines 10" too long. Lets not cut and flare it, lets just make it into a few circles!

Those are factory right there to account for body to frame flex. Ill get you a pic tomorrow of the rear brake line someone put on there! About 30" too long!

Lol the power steering return line comes to mind.

Thats to be like a cheap cooler and to dampen steering wheel judder. The 2001-2007 dodge caravans had a TSB for that. If it had a judder turning at low speeds yoy would add 3 feet of hose to the return line. Roll it up and zip tie it to the subframe. Fixed quite a few of them when i first started this path.

Interesting. Havent heard of that package before. Did it come pre-rusted too?!

Just a beefed up dana 50 I guess. My 95 f250 had it and I still hate the dana 50
