Ima show y'all a trick.

Gotta have a degree wheel on the engine to figure stuff out to begin with......but once these heights are established it's on. :D

My spec sheet on the MS460.

These are older specs........but this sheet was already in PDF, and is for an 1128 series.

So.......

Use this video to learn how to set height using the wheel and a piece of card stock.

Now.......
Hey Randy, you posted this here port angle spec sheet for a 460 a couple of weeks back....do you have...and if so could you dig it out and share the similar sheet for a 044? Much appreciate it if you could.

Also quick bit of advice requested. I'm planning a 044/460 hybrid. Whilst I do like revs, I'm more into the high torque than the revs side of things....in fact say 13.7-14k at WOT would a good maximum figure to aim for, for my use. In that case should I need do any porting mods on the MS460 jug going on to it. I didn't really plan on doing much more than a muffler mod, and trying to set the squish as tight as recommended for this capacity of engine. What would you recommend?

I'm away from the computer for a few days Matt.....and my notes are in pdf format....

Yeah.....try a 460 jug as is. I'm sure you'll be happy.
