Hillbilly port work

Not my work, just wondering what the professional opinion is on this 500i port job?

Looks fine to me. Looks just like a typical opened up exhaust port

Judging by what I can see of the upper transfer looking through the exhaust port, it hasn't been "ported" beyond the exhaust opened up. Exhaust work doesn't look terrible though.
