I did widen the bottom of the exhaust port on the inside, but steered clear of the upper part off the port , after a test fit I'll see if maybe I'll want to shave the edge of the piston?

I think I'll leave the piston alone for now.
Just a shot of the piston leaning on the tillotson to show the sheer massiveness of the piston.
I'm as interested to see how this thing runs as well.
There's not much in between with these saws from what I can find , its either a fire breathing full race build or a beautiful restoration.

I ran/tuned it this morning. First this thing ,with .020 squish is no joke to start! It idles well and throttles up fast and feels like a bigger 088.
Two hiccups with the first start ,the tiny e-clip rattled out from under the cover ,almost disaster with the decomp! And the end of the recoil spring needed a little more bend.
As with all things scrounged and or used the clutch was slipping due to the tappered sleeve being worn by the previous owner. I reset it but on first fire afterwards it decided to run backwards, hhhmmm I guess thats a thing? Any way got it restarted and the clutch with a copper shim lasted one cut and was loose again.
I'll order another clutch for the sleeve and go from there.

I put my fingers in with a straight shaft
I considered it, but after running it this morning (even with the problems) I don't think I'll need any more flow . It was surprisingly snappy, with 2and1/4 turns on the high.
After I temporarily get the clutch sorted out I will post a video. New 070 clutch should be here Dec 1-3 . That'll give me time to drill out my old 41" bar for it and find some bigger hardwood.
