I'll probably drill my old 41" bar for it and find a BIG log.
I'm not sure how long the 070 replacement clutch will last?, but I'll try to put some time on it. I did use a gel type removable lock tight on the tapered sleeve thats supposed to hold the clutch down to the crank, but that baby was Hot after a few cuts. If and when it sh¡ts the bed I'll spring for a 6 shoe 090 set up after Christmas.

I do have a 10 pin 3/8 ths but no big bars to match.
I think I'll wait to sink the 41" in a full peice of wood first to see if it pulls nice .
I think the fact that I had a loop of skip on the 25" wasn't doing it any favors either. I had to add a link to my 41s for the swap from 088 to 090 bar mount .
If it falls through the wood with the 8 pin and a full comp chain I'll explore a 9 pin .404.

My old 41 bar is pretty wooped, she's not cutting the straightest, the rails have been dressed but they're get thin.

How’s this saw been running?
I’m planning a 090 head for my 070 clone.

Its been a total beast, but it just snapped off a head bolt , which I caught almost immediately.

So I ordered a gasket set and I've got some good quality head bolts. I didn't have a gasket in there before, but im gonna add one . It really challenges me for starting and I think the gasket will help just a little bit.
Ive done a bunch of stumping with a hard nose 36" bar with it .

nice save on the head bolt. Might need to stud it like a 6.0 lol.
Did you have any carb issues?
My 070 clone dosent want to run right but I also heard they have timing issues.

No carb issues, I thought about swapping it out with a more modern ht or wg style carburetor, but the original works too good.
