I was sorta messing with a Stihl dealer that is reading along with us here. lol

I've got three Stihl dealers that I do a bunch of business with, and they are all awesome. Great guys, salt of the earth types.

If you need any small parts my friend, you just let me know. I can get anything you need.

I sure do appreciate that. I think part of the problem is, in my are the majority of the logging in my are is done with a machine. No one here takes any extra pride in their saw. They buy a saw run it till it quits then go get a new one. Therefore the dealers near me don't "get it ".

Good to have dealers like that ..... unfortunately the closest dealers to me are borderline MR .... the decent one I deal with is about hour and a half drive and yeah the closer dealers have a way of making it worth the drive

My Stihl dealer only responds to part numbers. If I ask for a part, he says they don't make it. Then we go round. I give him the part number and he looks very surprised.
Back on topic, this is cool stuff.

This is true. Anytime I ask my dealer for something they don't stock they look at me like I have two heads. Lord bless if you need an outside spike or roller chain catcher. Then you are speaking a different language.

Well that's a good thing for you though. I have a couple logger's I frequently stop or call. They have there burnt up saw's sitting in a corner. So they become free game.

Thanks for the tip. Now I can go in there with the part #'s and watch " their head spin". [emoji106]
