When i was in montana a farm supply place i stopped at had stihl saws ,but no service dept or parts ,i thought that was odd also .This one is called the family Center in Farmington mo.
Every stihl saw, even 2 880's in one Isle, turn the corner and there's all the huskys up to a 395xp.
There's another stihl dealor less than a mile away in a big farm store that sells all the equipment but no parts.
You can buy a 1200$ 661 there but not a spark plug for it. I remember when stihl marketed there saws saying every dealership had licensed stihl techs, evidently that ain't the case anymore.
The stihl/husky dealor that does have "parts" is Rediculous, I spent a good 10 min trying to explain to the "tech" that I needed a sprocket, clutch, the plastic bearing behind the clip at the sprocket.
After a while he said he knew what I needed so he looks up a number and goes to get it,comes back and hands me the thin flywheel side crank bearing and says, looks like it's going to be 7$ and I said I'll take it. Lol
