Curious to know what you're thoughts are on those B
On my atv's they worked great ,seemed easier to clean then the foam ones to me ,just spray super cleaner on em and hose em out ,let dry ,and spray a coat of k&n oil on em ,i only have a few cuts on one of em ,not enough to even dust the outerwear yet ,after a good hour or so on the meter i will post some images ,that should be 3 tanks or so of fuel .

I had one on my TRX as well.
Also ran the K&N Filter Charger (pre filter).

If you don't want a rain cover you can buy the cage and filters by themselves. Them make a backing plate for the max flow. I may try a K&N on the 44 since it fits without taking my backing plate for a max flow.

The ms440 saws have a lip built into the rain cover the filter fits snug into ,the 660 and 461 do not have this so k&n will not work on those models ,the spitback guard area is also too big for the k&n to fit over on the 660 and 461 i tried .
Here is how it fits snug into the air filter rain cover .Notice the round area cast into the cover ,the K&N fits snug into that area .K&n stihl 440 filter 001.jpg K&n stihl 440 filter 002.jpg

Cool. Thanks. Do you have to oil the rubber on both sides a little?

No ,it came pre oiled ,just clean it and spray k&n oil on it once in a while if gets plugged up too bad ,i recommend a skin cover of some kind to keep the cleaning times down .High pressure air will damage the K&N fibers so be careful if use air to blow one out between washes .

I much prefer the HD-2 to the K&N. Seems to flow just as well, and much easier to clean, IMO.
