The 044 turned out pretty nice and from what I saw in the videos, the P-60 looks to be a strong runner.

If Clint makes his way up to get the P-60, I'll make sure he also heads home with a Jobox full of Super EZs.
Should I pick up that giant pile of mini macs to drop off at your place?

I'd bet it runs great. Jim is capable of building a great running, and strong performing saw. Too bad his mental illness keeps him from being sane enough to deal with other human beings.

So much truth in this.

The 346 he did for me is great, only took a little over 4 months with tons of putting up with his BS to get it back. I'm still missing the OE carb and 1 chain but I count myself lucky.

Same here. Jim did a MS 250 for me. The saw is awesome. Little sleeper she is. But almost a year to get it done. He always kept in contact, just weird excuses along the way.

Slow I understand. Hell Matt, you know from experience how slow I can be. This thing with Jim....it's not about taking a long time to do the work. It's not about the quality of the work either. I have no doubt in Jim's ability to build a fantastic running saw.....and I'd rather know someone is taking their time instead of rushing though doing subpar work.

What I can't understand is how he reacted to Dale when asked to send a 40.00 piston. Or how he's refusing to send Jason and Clint their saws, even after being payed generously for postage.

Regardless of how long I'm around these saw forums, I'm still surprised by the insanity I see over and over from people who either fancy themselves some special guru, or those that are straight up con artists.

I must admit, even though I did not know him personally, the problems involving him caught me completely off guard … just did not see them coming!

I really liked his saw testing videos.

Jim put on a very professional appearance the first time I met him at our PNW gtg a few years ago. He and his saws were clean and performed beyond any expectation. Another member was impressed as well and t as lked me into giving this local porter some work. So I did, it seemed like we became friends, then behavioural issues started showing and I became concerned. I decided it would just be better for all for me to of course, pay him in full, and get my stuff back. That's when his true behaviour came through. I finally, after much begging, and an arranged a 2 hour drive I was able to see him. I was persuaded to give him another chance and agreed. My personality is not suited toward this behaviour and it did not improve. I was civil with him and when in person he behaves much better, I gave him several saw related things, lent him some which he took to mean they were his, and it's been downhill from there. He behaved badly at his first chainsaw race when he did not understand the rules, from what others have said.

Now in his defense. He does build strong saws, a 044 he did for another member is especially strong as was a 2151 he built. His ms180 will absolutely spank a string 200t. And all the saws he completed for me are reliable and strong. He is very resourceful at finding hard to get parts. Before this blowup, others had asked what I thought of him. I always answered that his work is good but we had a personality conflict.
