I'm just about done cleaning parts.
At first it felt like it was an archaeological dig, lol. As I dug through the crud I found a few pieces of 17th century pottery and a bronze axe head.
I’ve cleaned up a few saws that were more dirt/oil/sawdust than they were chainsaw...

Ha! That’s goddam funny right there. Good description of most saws I work on these days.

I thought the piston would make it but the one side is just too wallered out. It allows .010" vertical play when there should be none. 20181101_165523.jpg

I have a near new one on hand for it Clint, so don't worry about it.


The case is back together and on to the next step... the degree wheel.
