Have you ran it since? A low needle in the carb has caused a hesitation going from idle to WOT and overrun after letting off the throttle for me and my saws. Just like to know the ins and outs of these saws and if we can come up with an all around fix for it. For me I found the WT194 to be the carb of my choice as its fully adjustable, good thing for ported engines and all the ports on my 026`s get some grinding, they don`t puddle. Like to hear back about any and all problems and fixes.
No havnt ran it since. Will try and get time today to get that intake ring in. After I pop a small ding out of the wifes vehicle. (Not her fault) might go to the bush and get a test log later.
Its too bad stihl didnt do anything to corect thus isue. Sure seem to be a lot with the pooling isue.

I think there was a WT222 . Does your carb have both H and L needles?

Could it be a WT22C? I know the 194 has a brass bent impulse elbow. The barbed ones like above are earlier 55/22 impulse.

I’ve had the WT22 carb on two of the 026s I’ve had. They ran fine on both saws. Both were stock except being muffler modded and bumped up timing.

Neither ran funky. I never bothered to check for the casting flaw because of that reason.

I don`t like to automatically tell anyone to grind that lip off as it increases intake duration, on some saws that`s a good thing but without setting up a degree wheel to check timing first it could cause a few different maladies even worse than the annoying studder or bog the puddled fuel causes.
