You guys ever notice certain saws have a distinctive odor?

Specifically the old Jonsereds 49 51 52 621 70 80 90 etc have a very distinct odor to me. I don't know if is in the metallurgy of the parts or what but I could sniff one of them suckers out like Ol' Red.

But yeah I see what you are saying and after watching an AvE video he was explaining how some of the plastics used in making tool grips can off gas different smells when exposed to oils and stuff.

Yes, but it will probably leave a bad taste in your mouth being stihl parts and such.
