I was looking for a lot to build a new house when I discovered the ad for my upstate 50 acres. $300/acre with terms, I could not pass it up!

Yeah........it was sort of a misstep to get land and cattle when I did. Took me away from some things that I needed to finish first. Now money is tight.......

It's not everyday that a guy gets the chance to buy land that adjoins him......so mistake or not, I jumped at the opportunity.

I would have done the same! Hope to have that opportunity...

I passed up the opportunity to buy the two lots next to my house and in about four years they quadrupled in value, live and learn.

I thought that $300 per acre would be about right for your annual taxes, not the price of the land! Ron

Where my property is, it is cheap, where my house is, I get killed! But it is a lot less than Westchester County, where almost all the tax bills have 5 digits.
