Why

The muffler can be tricky if you don’t loosen the screws holding the bucking spike. Muffler will usually run into the spike if you try to slide it on without loosening the spike.

Well there's a letdown

That's a fat gasket. Puts me about .005 from where I like to see. But again different.

I did break an ear from throttle linkage. Still had to dig it out so gonna keep going. Couldn't get it to fail without

Ok guys. I'm used to orange caps you yank out with a drywall screw when slot lines up. What do I do with these???

Go ahead and order 588 94 62-01. bailey's price 29.99. I wish I knew about the kit before I bought individual parts for my 394. Includes all the parts list for #17.
I like the bigger bar plates myself for little more protection.

I left mine intacted. With the proper adjuster tool it's much better than trying to adjust while running with a flat head

Those limiters can be defeated. The outer ring is splined to the jet screw head. Compress the outer ring with needle nose pliers or something and remove the jet screw. On the bottom of the ring you will find a extra metal that can be easily removed. Trim it off then reinstall. Don’t destroy the splined portion or its recess because that’s where the tension spring for the jet rides. It will make more sense when you pull one out.
