made a few chips the other day, made some adjustments, going to regrind the jaws next I think. there just a tad bell mouthed. otherwise I think it's ready to be put to work.

You use a self centering very much?
I usually stick with the independent

I saw that, but the 3 jaw is self centering, I suppose it would be nice for stuff that doesn’t have to be perfect

I need a L-1 long nose adaptor for the 4 jaw.
still learning and adjusting on it. yes it's 1000 times better the old one.
no tooling, what you see is what I have, need to invest in a proper quick change tool post and proper live center

We have been using this live center at work for awhile now.
Have had a 1200 pound roller in there with no problems.

You've done a nice job restoring your lathe to operating condition. The vfd is a nice addition as well. Can you tell us what rpm you are spinning that cylinder at?
