Why a 385 and not 390? Unless you already had a 385...that's a 084 carb and boot. about twice the flow. on a ported 385. this was the second place saw at wigs 385/390 build off gtg in 2015. I did a build thread on it then.

Ive always been told those cranks aren't happy campers when pushed on to hard. time has proven he was right. huskys need to be rebuilt every 6 seconds, and the stihs keep on chugen for years.
Lmao and what ones aint there all lubed up and broke free.even to make em go fast they need a stihl chain.On the bright side the screws have all fallen out. So the rebuild is quick.

I traded a 6100 project for a port job i really liked the way it was built when i tore it down.that will be next saw i build,i have never ran one.i will say i was impressed.You can do both with a Dolmar
