I built this thing for a guy over 20 years ago. it's not been takin care of, and is missing a few parts, but it fell into my lap once again. it's mine now I guess.

Are you bringing that thing around the pond for next weekend? New gtg whip?

winter project, it needs the engine rebuilt, main bearings are gone. the controls have been all hacked up since I last seen it. needs a lot of work

Lodge and shipleys are nice machines to run. What's the top rpm on the spindle? Another nice feature on some of the lodges is that the ways are removable so they can be replaced with wear. American pacemakers are the same way. Should be a beast of a machine.

Very nice Scott! Looks just a little different than Monday. I would have stayed and helped if I would have known that's where you were going to put your "new" lathe.

Glad to help out Scott. Good to see some old American iron find a good home and a new life. I would've bet big money your forklift wouldn't lift it. That thing was heavy. You're gonna have a lot of time into it cleaning it up but it will be worth it. I can't wait to see all the cool things you're gonna make with it.
