I think its more fun to have multiple complete machines than one powerhead with several attachments. Its even funner to have multiples of the same type of machine. Mossberg used to boast that you could hunt anything on planet Earth with a 500 and the right barrels and chokes. What's so fun about that? I would rather have a safe full of guns and a garage full of OPE.

No sir, but you can but the 99944200545 Pro Torque String Trimmer attachment and put the 99944200422 Blade kit on it.

joe on the 2620 can you get the carb kits from walbro or is it echo only? also does your shop have a pet-9000?

I think I must have at least a half dozen or more in the shed with maybe half of them running but they all did at one time . The one I use the most is a nearly new Stihl ,the only one I ever bought new .The rest are freebies .
I have an Echo that for some reason one of the flywheel magnets looses magnetism after it sits a long time .It takes stroking that magnet with a rare earth magnet to renew it ( very old junk yard dog type of thing ).
Three or four of those trimmers use nylon blades which I prefer over string .I found generic blades on flea bay with about 100 in a big bag that are considerably cheaper than going to the Stihl dealer and work just as well .

I haven't tried to get a carb kit anywhere but from Echo but i would imagine that they could be had from Walbro. And no sir, we do not have a PET-9000 but I am looking into possibly getting one.

I got a PAS-280 last year with the blade and trimmer attachment and I love it. It wasn't too difficult to pull the plugs out and adjust the carb either, but mine didn't come too lean, maybe the dealer tuned it first.

My PB-250 blower was right on the money when I got it. I did free the hi adjustment screw but it was set pretty well perfect to begin with. RPM at WOT is 7040, any richer and you start getting a little 4 stroking.

I got in a makita RBC414U brushcutter this summer I gotta say it’s the best brushcutter weedwhacker I’ve ever had here 41cc of pure cutting force smooth running everything is right about this one , low vibes smooth running and a nice engine working note

And it’s the Robin Brush Cutter not Dolmar or makita engine

Had it now for a few weeks changed the head out for a aluminium 2 or 4 line head much lighter and less hassle than a spool head but still loving it WP_20180714_12_06_47_Pro.jpg WP_20180714_12_18_58_Pro.jpg WP_20180714_12_19_12_Pro.jpg

I had a Robin this size with dual handle bar and swivel shaft. It was a beast.
Nice Makita you have!

How old is that one? Here in the states, Green Machine used to sell Robins under their name and they looked just like that one. Low revving beasts that would go through anything.

BE0E848C-852E-4B47-8E31-328765241303.jpeg Well my new Makita RBC2510 trimmer came in today from the UK thanks to @ajschainsaws. This is the old Robin design that the EPA won’t let us have anymore here in US. My old Robin is getting some age on her and I figured it was time to get another primary trimmer and use the old one sparingly. Got to say the blue will have to grow on me but I guess it’s whats under the hood that counts.

Btw the Echo I was going to get locally was 399.00 plus tax. I got this one here for about 60.00.
