Safe to say a 585/592 is a good upgrade from a 390xp? I know they haven't been out long so it's tough to say about longevity. 390xp has been out for some time. And a simple saw at that.
I got this saw to replace a 390xp . IMO , the 592xp is much stronger . As far as longevity of the 592xp only time will tell . The saw has woken up quite a bit since Shaun shipped it to me .

I may have to squeeze the trigger on of of these. I love the fell of a hot 395xp, similarly to how I like my well-warmed 262xp. But, I honestly use the 562xp a lot more for general cutting as it's a lot smoother, and handles more naturally to me. The 262 handles faster, but the 562 fits better. I thought the 572 was just a bigger 562 in how it felt. If, by extension, the 592 follows the same path in ergos, anti-vibe and cutting character, a ported 592, running an 8-pin 20-24" bar would be quick handling in Hedge, and never lack for power... I love my 660's torque, but it's a vibrating boat anchor otherwise.

The 592xps auto tune works great . I ran the saw Thursday morning and again this afternoon. There was 25 degree difference in temperature . The saw started on the first pull and adjusted to the temperature instantly . Boy I really love this saw ! If I would of had my 395xp Shaun ported for me I would be grabbing a screw driver to adjust the carb with the temperature change . For anyone on the fence about buying this saw . Get one you won't regret it .

I had the 42” on mine yesterday and it handled that real well even with an 8 tooth, I just had skip on it. A couple of the guys couldn’t believe it was a stock saw yet. That’s too dam many cutters to sharpen

But it’s not 395 stroker!

But joking beside, a muffler modded 592 is an impressive saw.

It was an impressive saw and thanks for letting me run it.

I just wish I hadn't run it right after Shaun's new 395. [emoji41]
