029/MS290, MS310, 039/MS390, 034/036 (with the smaller 13mm needle cage) will interchange. 031 is a whole different saw and wasn't part of the 1127 '0' series. 034/036 (1125 series) used the same sized setup until beefing up the needle cage due to failures.

Rim drive kits are available to convert from a spur. 1125-007-1002 is the part number and includes the drum, 3/8-7T rim, washer, and 'e' clip. 'Bout 30 bux. A .325 rim can be substituted if you're dealer has a clue and is cooperative. An Oregon alternative is 34162x and is about 20 bux. May or may not include the washer and clip depending on source. Both use small spline (sm7) drums and obviously the small spline rims. Neither kit includes the needle cage. Replacement / spare rims are around 6 bux a pop.

Have the mtronic solenoids gone up? Thought I read that they were around 20$ then like 45$. Ordered one to have on hand when the time comes to replace on one of the several saws my tree service buddy has. Pretty sure I was quoted 68$ for one, guess I’ll see when it shows up next week along with the 80$ Oiler for an ms 200t.

Well these are all older saws so I think they all have black, unless the gen two 362’s have the white on them. Dealer ordered one for a ms 362c and I told them the older version.

Clutch springs:

One rebuilds a saw only to discover the chain creeps/spins at idle. [emoji37]

In order to avoid ‘do overs’ I investigated part numbers of common models. Looking to keep a few sets in hand to replace as SOP.

But, too many. [emoji90]

Or, is there really that much difference ?
