If that were the case everyone would run a 7900.purchase price isn't always the key deciding factor in determining "value"..
just saying
harumpf !!!!If that were the case everyone would run a 7900.
i get it.. but the possibility of eliminating fuel delivery issues of a NA Carb is a pretty powerful enticement... carbs suck for the fuels we have available affordably nowadays... doesnt take too many carb issues for a guy not familiar with the inner workings of one before the "costs" equal outI know what you mean. You would think for $1500 Stihl could have given its owners the "value" they deserved on air filtration.
Try some .404 on both those saws with a 36" bar. Should be a bit more interesting.
500i isn’t a race horse at all. 462 is faster with a shorter bar. 500 just has a pretty flat power curve and is user friendly when using the dogs
Stock for stock, yes. Less expensive, better air filtration, best fuel efficience, lighter.Would the 462 be a better option than the 500i?
Asking for a friend.
