I should have a couple 395s coming up for sale real soon, the price of parts alone gives the nod to the husky for me, but I am biased, not ashamed of it either, for a felling saw I would take the 661 though, just to be honest.

Clutch is heavier on the 395. Stands to reason it would be more resistant to slipping. Centrifugal force and all.....

Stumping saw.......395. Felling saw.......661.

Next question?

Agreed...

I stump with an 088.

But what you girls need to ask yourselves is what advantage a 661 has over a 395 when it comes to cutting stumps.

I'll answer it for you...nothing.

Buy a 395.

If it's not too heavy for you.

IKR!!! We are talking about 10 ounces difference

Let us delve into the sideways balance of those two saws......and the effect that those ten ounces and that outboard clutch has on it.

I'll make some coffee.....

Actually, unless you get the wrap handle version, which you likely would not for flush cut stumping, it is over a pound heavier. I knew this information was important to Ryan, so I just had to post it.

How is the building purchase going???
