I just cooked 18 pounds of 40 day dry aged ribeyes for 14 people. 6 pounds of chicken cut marinated in teriyaki on skewers. Asparagus. Smoked corn on the cob.

I'm tired that was a ton of work.

So I picked up a Partner 7000 late this afternoon. He had it listed for $75 and I wound up with it for $50. It pulls over ok, but the chain turns some, so it's got a clutch issue. I know very little about the 7000 other than it's 70cc.

So, does it perform as well as the 5000 for it's size?

The 7000 isn't a rocket like the 5000, but they run pretty good. They make their power at a lower RPM range like most of the bigger Partners of that era do.

Thank you, I was kinda hoping it would run somewhere in-between the 044 and 046, but most likely not. LOL It's a neat looking saw, it's got that going for it.

Got back from Hawaii on Saturday and the Anchorage area had gotten their usual snow, warm wind thaw, and then refreeze cycle

The highway isn't bad but the road back to the house is a sheet of ice so my last few days have been about traction

Monday I did a semi-controlled slide down the driveway, went to storage, and got my mounted and studded winter tires out

I had to get into low 4 to get back up the driveway but managed to do it and get my tires changed over

Yesterday was all about getting my bike and gear ready for winter riding so I studded up my ice boots and put my studded tires on my fat bike

Heading out after it gets light for my first winter ride of the season
