Felled and bucked a very dead White Oak for my Friend Harold's son. He has a new house, and this was on his property. Had to rope it cause it was near a road and leaning the wrong way.

I packed my car with saws and waiting for a confirmation call to go buck some large beech firewood logs at an acquaintance's place.

My neighbors Husqvarna 181SE is coming along accompanied by my Dolmar PS-550 & PS-7900.
I intend to give the 181SE a ride set up with my 36" B&C.

Trimmed 5 white pines 10' above house's gutters and pieced down a very dead soggy walnut. Next Job was a small maple removal next to the house. No pics, guys would kill me if I stopped for 5 seconds to snap a few pics with my phone. I don't carry my phone on me anyway while workin.

I took the state forester up in the woods to look at a big dead fir tree to see if he'd let me cut it down for firewood. He said no because its too close to the creek. Heres a picture. I'm 6'4" for comparison. 1231181141b.jpg

I did take a couple pictures and made one video.
I will try to get them up tomorrow.

The 181SE will not win any races, but she showed some nice torque.
She pulled the 36" B&C nicely bucking beech.
She has a completely different character than my Dolmar PS-7900.

    I like the 181SE with a short bar and a more aggressive chain , 18-20", haven't tried 24".

She's looking good considering her age.
Brake flag and all chain brake parts are missing - but lets be honest, who wants to brake while having fun with a mature lady?! ;)

The saw is my neighbors, wasn't running right.
Thanks to all that replied to my posts in the "what's on your bench" thread!
It was a loose wire on the main coil coming on/off due to vibrations (that sounds kinda "ahem").
I squeezed the shoe with pliers and pushed it back on, no more erratic shut offs.

Idle is still erratic, I think the idle screw is not original and loosing adjustment.

Found a deal on chains of various lenths in 3/8 chissle. 5 bucks each for any length. Never sharpened. Only used till dull then tossed in a bin. Got 8 84 driver for now. Might grab some more in a week or so.
He said he has over a 1000 from his tree service business. Gonna try to get me a life time supply.[IMG]

I know. Im so excited. Cant wait to go back. Shouod ask him if he has any dead saws he wants to get rid of. I feel like a kid in a candy store.
He has a 5 cord an hour wood processor for sail too.
