Home alone today. The kids and grand kids are all at Easter functions. So, I put some accessories on the girls. The accessories came this week courtesy of Nate @fordf150, Steve at Woodcutters Garage, and Doug @husqvarnaxpman. Thank you gentleman!
First a Tsumura Light Weight 20" 3/8 .050 72dl and Stihl RS on a muffler modded and BG delete 357xp.IMG_1039.jpg Next is a Total Super Pro 18" 3/8 .058 68dl and Husqvarna chain on a like new 359 that is destined for Mastermind in the future.
IMG_1040.jpg Then a Sugihara 20" 3/8 .050 72dl and a Stihl RS on a like new MMWS 357xp.
IMG_1041.jpg Last is a Total Super Pro 16" .325 66dl and a Oregon LPX chain on a like new 350.

Well, I only had one Tax Appt early, and one late, so during the day I got to play with a couple of saws for the first time in months!

I put new fuel caps on my 026, and they leaked too, so I purchased an O ring at the auto store and all is good now. Ran it a bit and tuned it a bit, so it should be good for the GTG!

Then I played with one of my 660 Asian Twins. It has been bothering me that one saw had noticeably more torque than the other (the one with the more opened up muffler was lacking torque). So even though I had tuned it to 4 stroke, I opened the Hi up some more (from 1 + 1/4 to 1 + 5/8). Well, I only did two cuts with it, but I leaned on it pretty hard and did not slow it down, so I think I resolved the problem! I had been thinking about it a lot, and it just made sense that the saw with the greater muffler mod should be set a bit richer, but I'm very glad it seems to have worked! I wish every problem were that simple to resolve!

handed a bunch of cash to my lawyer, sat at the dmv for awhile, sat at the drug store for awhile, and still managed to saw a few logs. now i'm porting saws.

That’s a hard thing to stomach, dealing with most Lawyers: I Wish you the Best of Luck.

i'm learning a lesson on trusting family, never again

I don’t know your situation, but I hope you can find peace with it.

I’m in the middle of a sad situation myself, but I don’t think mine is near as serious as yours based on your need for Legal Counsel.

Please Understand Cooler Heads will Prevail.

Me and @Scotty Overkill at it again took down 4 trees for my cousin's friend. 3 walnuts and one locust. Here's some pictures.

Me getting the tree topped and prepped for our make shift sjy line to drag out the logs. This is going to be our tail hold tree.

Me getting the pulley ready with the cable and guy ropes.

The massive walnut tree about 40 yards back in the trees. This was a real pain because the whole hill side qas a rock slide from when they built the original highway.

But to our dismay it was hollow as you can see! What a shame! Me in comparison to the butt log.20180408_154921.jpg

My cousin owner and operator of "Footlong milling and Excavating" helping to retrieve the logs so he can mill them for his friend.

A view from up in the tree that I was doing. This was an old tavern/ inn that was built in the 1750's I believe. Which served as a stop for weary travelers traveling the Juniata River. And also served as a post in the Revolutionary Was to protect the Fort close by that supplied the lead for the war effort.

Sorry I didn't get any pictures of our skyline in action but it did work very well. The purpose for doing that was to drag the logs around his sand mound because we were trying to avoid taking a machine back in there.

Your pics are so cool, and thanks for explaining that building, I was wondering.

I got a lot of Black Walnut around here, but never seen one that big before, a shame it was hollow. The bark on that big guy really looks a lot different, not sure I would have been able to ID it w/o leaves.

Hope some of it turned solid for you guys.

I was heartbroken when I realized that it was as hollow as it was. But it is what it is, that's how it goes sometimes.

OUT OF CONTROL CAD!!!!

So, my brother brings two of his saws over yesterday and asks me to sharpen the chains on both of them. I tell him "no problem". Then he says "and I want to get both of them ported".

I looked at him and said "I thought you were real happy with they way they both were running".

He says, "yea, I was, till I ran your saws"!!!

Surly you jest, any time you want to run an uported Husky against one of my ported Stihls, just say so.

In fact, I've yet to have any unported 272/372 beat my unported 044, and I've been to lots of GTGs. Not sayin there can't be one out there, but they are not common.

Nope, just not ported, all do it yourself at home stuff, no grinding! Includes base gasket delete and timing advance.
