I bought two new screnches yesterday because I, unknowingly, wore/burned a hole in my back-pocket, losing two screnches the last workday.

Just under $9 a pop with tax. Time for a bulk order!

I bought a bunch off eBay, a few years back, when I was making up ‘kits’ for folks.

Menards has standard Forester brand screnches (silver or orange) pretty reasonable ($4 -$5 each).

I opened the second tool today, 8 years Bosch Pmf 250 ces, although everything is good with it, I believe that the vibrator on the rotor is a worse solution

Bought 2 weekends ago, just got it last Friday. First tree cut with the Makmar 7900, not overly impressed. Might need to send it to someone….View attachment 363867View attachment 363868View attachment 363869View attachment 363870
You need to gut the muffler on those, it has either a SLR or a CAT in it!
While in there, at least opening the stock muffler outlet is a must!

So…what’s the best filter to keep fines out of a ported 7900…?

Unrelated:this arrived from @Cat 525

Felt AF with grease on seam of AF halves and throat to carb seating as an additional seal.
I am testing/running fine white nylons on two of mine, they do a good job - although I rarely cut gunpowder dry wood.

HLSupply has OEM HD kits.

I make my own screnches, stainless steel handles and milled solid 12.9 grade bolt steel for the socket. ;)

Yeah, an AM or OEM scrench would be more affordable - but those are all cra¶!

1.) I cleared my phone gallery, all pictures of my custom screnches are on my PC, but I will post some

2.) PM me Your address, I don't think I have Yours yet

Two things:
1.) For now I only made dual 13mm screnches, I don't have the material I desire nor the time I need to make 13/17 & 13/19 screnches, but it is on the drawing board. Screnches are not a priority to me anymore, there is no way I can bust up my custom made one.
2.) my screnches are HEAVY, milled solid steel - making them heavy duty was the goal, lightweight was not
