I had to glue the hole in the shaft because I couldn't start it. There is no sealant 😉 Additionally, this ring should be tight on the shaft and it rotates. And it still has uneven idle speeds. The sealant and the drive rim are not much for a 40-year-old monument 😉

That's a good looking saw does that one have a chain brake? I see some partners with and some without

It has a brake, but the tape is almost completely worn out, so it has to be cut off. Contaminants on the tape cause friction against the drum, this can be seen on the clutch shoes, which is why the sealant ended its life sooner,🤠 The clutch spring may also be bad

2014. Supermarket weed whacker is announcing its retirement, gonna run it till it dies.
Got a new supermarket whacker replacement today, it is gonna sit in its box till the time comes to take over duty.
I went this route because it has the same generic PH as three other OPE I own, and it has proven to be a decent engine.
Also, the new one was on sale with 3 years warranty.

42.7ccm, 1.5kW.

I need one of those!
Earth erosion is closing in on my house back side and needs to be dug off and away.
I trained with one called Al-ko for 10 years, the vibrations bothered me a bit, but I only mowed at home.

I always get palm tingles when using that weed whacker.
But it has good power and will run WOT sessions for minutes on end when I get the correct step/swing/step rhythm.
It is a heavy beast though, wears me out on uneven and sloped terrain.

Now I use the steering wheel suspension, but it has to be moved higher because I'm tall, I have a nice Kawasaki but I can't move the steering wheel there

You have way to much "extra" time on your hands to be getting into all of these frequently new projects. JS
Some wait longer if they require more time. And some things should be thrown into the trash, but they are waiting for me 😉 because it's easier to make 1 out of 2

Center finder on a board!
Bingo!
Dan da Man!

That's a piece of steel pictured.

I think it's pretty OLD considering the regular type head machine screws (1920's???).
.25 cents cause the owners didn't know what it was!
