Wow, if you handed me that winning chain, I would be seriously pissed off...Proof is in the pudding I guess.

Looking at at the winning cutters I would like to see how they would compare with many of the work chains posted on OPE. I wonder if I'm being hyper critical looking at cutters while dabling with square filing. o_O I'm talking about trying to correct mico variations which are nothing near what I see in the comparisons pics of the left and right cutters in the article.

Do I cut that little pecker off?

That would have to be quite a bit bigger to cause any trouble. So, no. Just my humble opinion...Now, if you want to race, I guess you have to do all the extra little steps. I would probably do more harm than good trying to remove it.

I'll leave all that racing stuff up to you pro's.
But one day, I'll have my own saw:coleman:

I'm thinking about depeckering it.
You could put it through the 600 and knock it off pretty easily. I'm just not sure it is even worth the time it takes to do it. (I don't) Bigger is better in pecker knocking...

For the pros out there. Any advantage to to a deep cut gullet?
Will there be any disadvantage to either cutter?
Thank you
